Captain Gnarly Won't Talk to Me in "The Jaunt" Quest

Hi everyone,

I'm stuck on the "The Jaunt" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. I had to delay the quest, which led to Captain Gnarly becoming upset and refusing to talk to me. I got distracted by other tasks, and now I can't continue the quest because he won't interact with me.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Do I need to wait for a certain amount of time for him to calm down, or is it a bug that can be fixed? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, a lot of people, and it's a bug, because the task log says they came back and we're supposed to check what they found, but that they're “offended” that you didn't go with them, so you can't talk to them :)

I couldn't even go with them because he just went and sat on a bench and wouldn't talk to me.

Yeah, same here. I thought it was because I was too late, just went and got some nicer stuff for my horsie and Henry says that they are almost running out of patience. Coming back to the court yard they're all pissed off at me. Reloading did not help. I was super quick on getting the trashy stuff on my horse and they jumped up on their horses and were super pissed already. Not sure what can be done here and if I can roll back this mission. Will try starting from the last mission save where i rescue Mutt and see if it works

I got respond from support:
"We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention and would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We are aware of this issue and our team are working toward resolving it as quickly as possible, however, we do not have an exact time frame to which this issue will be resolved, so we kindly request your patience in this regard. "

So unfortunately I have to complete the miller's path, because that's the only quest I have at the moment :(

For me it's even worse. Gnarly won't talk to me because I didn't go with him and when I go to tal to the miller all options I have are Where can I sleep and end of the conversation. So I have no way to progress the story.

i have this issue too ffs! hope they fix soon. also cant get to the wedding with the other guy so im completely stuck lol.

wait the wedding quest isn't even linked to this one is it? ye i think my main quest line is bugged too i see nothing on the minimap for main quest anymore and blacksmith doesn't help with it or the miller lol. so much for ' game wont have any bugs at all this time' bs

You can still get to the wedding if you follow the miller path instead of blacksmith, but I was never able to get it to work so I am unfamiliar with it. Both have far too many triggers and blocks for such a linear story line.

same bug here, so i tried the millers path. the thing is... I CANT GET THE DAMN DRESS...

The tailor i am supposed to buy it from is closed all day and doesnt show up. My lock picking skills are not high enough to pick the chest in the store. THIS IS ABSOLUTE BS

I got the same issue! Its frustrating!

Got the same bug. Luckily, there is a solution: Load an old save.
Sure it sucks to have to redo some stuff, but at least you can move forward.

I had the same issue, did not have to reload, i went there in the early morning (was 4-5 days after accepting the quest in think) and just skipped one hour at a time and around midday the NPC positions updated and i was able to continue the quest.

So just place yourself in Semin in the courtyard after sunrise, skip 1 hour with T and repeat until it works again.

edit: oh wait..., seems it was different for me since i seemingly did not delay it long enough for Gnarly to get angry.

yeah im stuck also and cant pick the lock or not get caught by the guards for the millers quest trying to steal the document or whtever. and then if i chose to turn him in then im screwed right?
