Help me understand Horse Gear stats

Like a saddle says weight and durability, what does the weight mean?

Weight refers to horses carry capacity.
Durability refers to how tough the horse when taking damage so armor.

Yep unfortunately there is no way of telling how good horse gear is or which stats it has. All you can do is buying the most expensive ones.

I much prefer how they did this in the first game where you could see the stats.

And read the desciption, as it gives hints about the stat changes like "increas carry weight but decreases speed" with indications like minor or something like that...

But overall you need to buy the item and test it out... sadly.

Yeah unfortunately they all pretty much have the same item description so it´s hard to say which one offers more carry weight or which one makes the horse faster than the other one.

I don't get it... just bought some gear for my horse.

When I equip the 2 objects (for a total value of 657,4), the stats are less good than when I equipe the starter gear oO
