the lack of children is really immersion breaking
I hadn't paid that much attention to it until someone pointed it out, but now I cannot unsee it. What kind of dystopian world is this, where there are no children around? Is it this why it's called Kingdom Come? These are actually the last days, a plague has made everyone infertile and we are seeing the last humans who will ever walk the Earth? The gay romance makes sense now, like, why bother with females, there will be no issue.

Peshek is literally the in-game reason. It's him that wouldn't let her. Try and keep up.
Peshek is literally not a reason, he never says he wouldn't marry her off, there is nothing to indicate that he wouldn't approve of your relationship, Hell he even lets you stay in his house. I think you're the one who needs to try to keep up.

You should probably go back and play the game then.

But I have to say it is nice we've moved away from imagining anyone is underage.

You’re speaking to a brick wall. Morgan has 500 pages of baiting people into arguments then telling them he blocked them.

I block people who are unable to respond in a polite and mature manner. In this case someone is is trying to say that a game portrays underage gay sex using 2024 US law as a reference point. BTW the underlying narrative here is an attempt to link the LGBT community to paedophilia.

It also says his birth year is an estimation.
What exactly do you think underage means in the context used?
The codex is about the historical figure, the game is historic fiction and he's very clearly not portrayed as 15 in the game.
I think underage means underage lol

Underage to do what? And by what set of laws?

I think it's to get around legal issues. In some countries it's illegal to allow kids to be killed (by the player) in games. So it's either make them immortal not not include them. Personally I'd have p[referred immortal.

Downloading the mod for RDR2 and shooting that little bastard that robs you and runs away(along with his gang) is incredibly satisfying.

Didn't notice, and am fine with it. I get the reasons why(killing them), but I am fine with it, prefer it the way it is rather then having all the kid NPC's be invincible, that would be immersion breaking.

I found it horrible mechanic in Skyrim. I also would prefer no children in game than invincible.

Honestly I never asked myself why there aren't any children. I wonder why would you even think about it? What could possible happen within the game that you out of nowhere started to think "Man there's a lack of children"...

When you’re going through literally any town and see families together and not a single child in site it seems like some weird dystopia where people are spawned out of vats.

Nope. Never thought about it this way.

Not everyone cares about realism. However in a game like this that prides itself on such they should go the extra mile

Jeez weirdly I didn't even think about it until now... I guess they wanted to give you freedom but putting children in would mean they have to put invisible blocks in place to prevent players from doing horrible things to them.

But it is a bit immersion breaking now you mention it

No they wouldn't have to do that, just make the kids killable then punish you for doing so.

There is no rule (except a few countries outside the US) that prohibits killing kids in a videogame.

I've played many games where children could be killed like fallout 1 and 2, deus ex, harvester, etc.

In fallout 2 if you kill a child you get the child killer perk which makes your playthrough near impossible to complete.

If it were that much of a problem outside the US they add invisible blocks to those countries and have it uncensored for everyone else that is fine with it.

Not sure why people think this is illegal to do in the US, any developer could do it.
