create your own game within the game.
80% of the game is me pressing the space bar to skip dialog
15% is me massacring women/animals and fist fighting beta males
5% is me feeling guilty and reloading a previous save sate to start over
it's hard work, being an efficient killing machine. i'm 30 hours in and I haven't even met the blacksmith for my job.
I never know why people like games that are actually painful to play. They'll complain about listening to dialog, in a story driven RPG, but have no issues watching a load screen over and over. Few things kill engagement and interest in a game that having to redo hours of progress because of a death.
Its entertainment, not self-flagellation.
Here....not so much. My skills are all 20+ and have half of the Kutenberg's part of the story to go, and I've seen more plate than I can carry. Also the best sword in the game, you find before the half way point. I love, love this game. But to me, hardcore would really help. Hope I can make loot rarer, but if repair is much more difficult that might work too.
what exactly are you complaining about? you play the game you get stronger..
do you see the amount of posts that cry about combat being hard or lockpicking or bla bla..
hardmode is in the roadmap , chill.
When a new game comes out a lot of people pick the hardest difficulty because they want to be challenged but then cry about it being too hard or unfair. So some devs purposefully delay harder difficulties so that people have to pick the "easy" difficulty and receive feedbacks about what is too easy and where they have to increase the difficulty. A lot of stuff they already know about before release the game. It was the same for KCD1.
Id say I have the same opinion as you. Balance leans toward casuals atm and its fine. I expect when hardcore mode comes out that leveling will be atleast x3 harder, economy/income will be cut atleast in half, reputation will be x2 harder, enemies will be x2 stronger, less damage on weapons, etc...
