"For whom the bells ring "... or whatever it is called.
I’m stopping my playthrough of this game until they either remove this quest or fix the numerous bugs within it.

In 15 years of playing games, I have never encountered such a trash, terrible, frustrating, cluster-fu** of a quest.

I know exactly what I need to do in this quest—I’ve read at least 10 guides by now, discussed it with others, and tried everything... but the bugs completely ruin the experience. On top of that, the enormous time investment required for this mess of a quest makes it even worse.

I have no idea who thought this would be a good idea.

I genuinely hope they fix this shi... so I can continue playing the game I paid 60 bucks for.

F. that.

Strange, the only issue I had in Trosky was the demons quest, where you couldn't get into that one door...
Whats the problem ? I have quest mark but book was not there, but other room, in chest was potions for this quest. Ignore mark and run to wounded guy, cutscene start

I assume the bugs do not affect everyone.
And the frustration depends strongly of WHAT you have skilled before and what not, which is a NO GO for a main quest.

It's not too difficult.

Carry some sacks then talk to the blacksmith to get access to the inner castle.

Make a horse shoe to give to the groom and he'll allude to his criminal past (to get a picklock). He wants a necklace that the priest has.

Go to the priest, choke him out, talk the necklace back to the groom and get the picklock.

Talk to the cook to get access to the interior. Unlock the chest for her.

Then you free to roam about. Sneak up to where Thomas is, talk to his sister. He needs a fever potion.

Go to to the other side of the case and up the tower until you find the alchemist bench. The book and ingredients are all there, make the potion.

Return to Thomas and you're done. You can do it all before the 6th bell.

Uhh to unlock stuff, I need lock picks. To get lock picks, I need to play against this dayum priest OR kill the dude and take the flower stuff from him to bring it to the blacksmith dude to give me lock picks. I did the latter.

Some guard on the other end of the castle, apparently saw me killing, and later on arrested me. Mission over.

This is the kind of buggy sh.. that annoys me. I suck at these games and owuld lose against the priest NOR do I have the coins for it.

Its these " details " that make it impossible combined with bugs.

I know HOW to play the missions, its the bugs and flaws that ruin it.
Hmmm its not a bug then, U just do wrong. Try pickpocket. Open chests so u can get money to buy lock picks.

It depends where you took him down.

Wait until he gets up from the dice table and heads for the stairs, but look around for the guards.

Choke him out and put him in the toilets that are right there and shut the door. Also, don't slaughter/kill him, as the guards will eventually find him and you'll be a suspect.

Once you have the necklace or what ever it was, you're golden. Just don't go back down there until the mission is over.
It's tough, but doable, I explored it by failing it multiple times just to check the options and learn my way around the castle, then it becomes way easier. A nice thing I noticed about it is that the towers are so far up the guards eventually stop searching for you if you run up. You can basically complete it half of it just by ignoring the guards and running for it

Um what bugs exactly. The way I do the quest only requires you to be able to pick a very easy lock, and strength high enough to strangle 2 guards at most.
Lock picks are in a red jar in the blacksmith area. FREE for all.
Skill issue

No you don't. You have to complete all optional objectives and talk to everyone for the easiest way to finish the mission.

You can get a free lockpick from the blacksmith's red pot if you help the kitchen woman unlock her chest.

I haven't looked up any online guides and beat this quest. True, it did take a couple reloads on the stealth portion but I got it done. And I haven't encountered a single bug.
