I admit, I hate twitch drops

OK, this armor one, who cares. However, what looks like will be one of the darkest and best clothing for stealth will be starting tomorrow. Why do I hate it?

This is a story driven game. Even the side quests have real stories, and multiple ways of resolving them. I hate watching game play of this type of game, beyond alchemy tips, blacksmith tips, etc. Because I don't want the story ruined for me. Yes, I will just open up a twitch stream, mute it and minimize the window, so I am not watching it anyways. I really don't understand making us watch 4 1/2 hours of spoilers to get better stuff. I am now in the 2nd region. I have yet to see really good dark clothing.

I get why Twitch helps gamers choose games. Why it is huge for devs. Do I want to buy this game? That question should be able to be answered during a couple hours of gameplay. However, this twitch drop only works after you buy the game. So you aren't selling me something I don't already have.

Thankfully with this game you can just enter the items IDs into the console to get them without twitch.

Think the items are included with this mod if you're talking about the cutpurse set.

If you really want the drops, and there's no real reason to, just watch someone who's earlier in the game than you

It is annoying how it detracts from the immersion in the game. You want to build up your resources, not have them magically airdropped into the game because you did something the company wants you to do.

The best stealth gear should come as a reward for doing quests for a thieves guild or something like that, etc.

They should tie twitch drops to something that doesn't impact anything ingame. Like a forum badge, or a discount on buying the game, or whatnot.

I think that's a really good point. They definitely went way overboard by making the twitch items so strong. They should have been starter items at most.

The definition of a sandbox game is doing what you want when you want right?
So how is it not a sandbox for the biggest part?

There are only a handfull quest you HAVE to do to unlock new region/map, but if you want you could kill everyone or just do stealing, hunting, or crafting without bothering something you HAVE to do to make progress with you char.

I had played about 18 hours doing gathering, killing and crafting before i even started the main wedding quest.

And not the point of course, my point is that its crazy that someone in a single player game is bothered with how others play their game.

The first one, the best stealth gear was hidden behind a quest line. Maybe this one has it too, I am barely into the 2nd region. But I had done every quest available on the first before proceeding.

At the end of the day its a single player game.. if you don't like it then just don't worry about the drops and don't watch the twitch streams and just play the game..

If you cant be arsed to watch twitch but still want the items I am sure there will be some console commands you can enter to get them added.

Where did I say I am bothered by how others are playing the game? I said the best stealth gear should not be locked behind watching some streamer play through the story for 4 1/2 hours.

I'm getting the Twitch drops, just not going to use them til later in the game when I've levelled up.

I'm only a few hours in, so at the moment I am wearing that Rusty Cuirass from the Smith, Gnarly's shield etc.

you need stealth gear?
i run around as Herny the Red with all the shiny trinkets
just no armor and spores... and kinda never got cought...
even if the enemy passes like 2m away while iam hiding in the dark
