blocking does not work

i can press as i want most of the time blocking does not work ... and when its the takedown training it does not do ANYTHING it just does nothing ....

If by take down training your referring to stealth take downs they are extremely hard to time until u lv your stealth

it does not even work with the guy that is suposed to show me how its done ....the block icon comes up i press button he breakes free no matter what

because there is a short moment of the blue attack button which you have to press at the right time, which is a very narrow window

Blocking works perfectly fine.. not tried the stealth take downs yet tho..

Henry is quite daft and has a mind of his own, the most terrifying aspect of this game is that such might actually be of intentional design. The game developers doesn't understand the concept of martial challenge very well. In real life you can control your body, and a conscious enemy can control theirs. In this game Henry demands to control the body for you, while the enemy doesn't really exist as they pose no actual threat to you once you have circumvented Henry's foolery. Sometimes Henry rather just take a club to the face than responds to the block click, as the green shield flashes on the screen. Understanding when and why Henry refuses to do what the player tells him to do, is pretty much the only challenge of the game. It isn't a real life combat scenario, it is more relative to a cookie clicker than an actual fight. You don't fight your opponent, you grind down the fallacies of illogical game design, until you understand why nothing works as it intuitively should, and then instead of fighting to win, you have already won, as this gameplay has nothing else to offer than wasting your time. But like others mentions, with "practice", you'll get there.
