30 hrs in and still trying to figure this one out lol
They're useful for dice game, let you bet higher amount + change rules or give you a bonus to use during the game
At the same time I'm filthy rich from alchemy, what do i care about winning gold from dice
They are for the dice minigames and give different perks for the match. Haven't used them yet since I don't play much dice, but they do have a purpose. Personally I hold onto them since idk might need them later and you can get plenty of gold from selling bandit armor, etc.
with gold badges sometimes you can play for more money :)
if you lose in dices with badge enemy gets your badge
i just farm the ones i think are good canceling, and extra points on start :)
others i just sell
I keep them just because I don't need any money thanks to being a successful cat burglar. I haven't played a dice game since I was forced to at the beginning.

The Nightstalker has no reason to gamble.

They are useful. I for example use the doppelganger badge where I can in a match of dice double my turn score two times. It is a very good badge.
I have another badge that gives me few hundreds points at the start of every dice match.

I win most games in first try.

Dress in quiet clothing, wait until 1 am, enter people's residences/shops, ROB THEM BLIND, place the stolen items in your chest, when the stolen icon disappears sell the items, give your burglary persona a nickname (The Nightstalker is taken).

I am a master thief myself. :P

Q: How much money did you made so far? Curious.

I have 17000 G and I am about to finish first map of the game. Lost 2500 G once when I was arrested. Choose fine over being branded.

The real problem isn't really having stuff, it's the merchants running out of money to buy your stuff.

Crafting should net you enough to empty out most merchants quite easily (buy recipes for blacksmithing that uses few products and sell for a lot. And for Alchemy just get the perk that lets you produce 6 at a time). The only reason to steal stuff really is to level associated skills, and to access things for personal use. In terms of sell value it's meh.

I'm in the mid-10,000 range and just arrived in Kuttenburg.

My chest has thousands of dollars worth of loot I got from robbing a blacksmith's weapons/armor. It takes forever to unload all of it.
How are you so rich guys. I am 13 hours in and I have 250 groschens.

My wife is at about 40 hours and only has about 1k. She wants to be a good guy so she refuses to steal. F that.

Early on sell potions (any work, but chamomile and the healing potion are the easiest to make), buy the bearded axe schematic and make those, and hunt some animals. Between the meat, potions and axes, you will have stuff to sell to most merchants.
