Please for the love of god BUFF LOCKPICKING
Why does it get so unreasonably difficult??? I never had nearly so many issues picking locks in the first game but somehow ya'll made it worse in this game. Unless the game tells me a lock is too difficult I should have a reasonable shot at opening it. Not be damn near impossible to pick

It's a bug. Mouse sensitivity is way lower it should be, and in blacksmithing game is way higher than it should be. Try to play the game, before attemt to troll.
Hes right, i only had problems in the beginning with high tier locks. now every lock is as simple as a easy one.

Congrats, my friend, but we were talking not about your problems or my problems, but about game design\QA problems. My thieving is around 23 and the mouse cursor moves still way slower than the lock itself (moving with a D). This is not how it should be. In KCD1 they have moved with the same speed.

My Thievery is almost 16 lol that should be considered fairly competent. Not a master thief by any means but it also shouldn't be basically impossible to open hard difficulty locks at this level either (since the caps for stats and skills are 30 now)
It's no, considering the max level is 30, level 16 is average at best.
Locks become simple so solve at following skill levels:
5: very easy
10: easy
15: medium
20: hard
25: very hard

you can solve them with lower skill, but if you want to have an easy time, just get the skill up first.

Besides, if you're having problems with lockpicking, stealing the key is waaaaaaay more easy to do. People complain, but it all comes down to skill issue and not using the systems that the game offers e.g.: potions and pickpocketing

1) no they are not.
2) there're no game settings for mouse sensitivity in mini-games exclusively. Hence, even I wanted to - I couldn't to.

Please, stop gaslighting me, ok? It's obvious that that bug occurred on my setup and didn't on yours. Is it so hard to understand? Why do you need trying to convince me that what I see is a hallucination?

Your mouse becomes easier to maneuver as you gain levels.

I too thought it was a bug because I couldn't lock pick a medium at level 2. The mouse dragged and did constant circles.

Now it's precise and steady.

Drink buff potions and get skills that buff thievery under certain conditions.

Turn down mouse sensitivity. Improve lock-picking skills by practicing and (most) hard difficulty locks are easy to pick.

If no - we're finished.
