Equipping a bandage to quick access slot?

I cant seem to equip a bandage to my quick access slots when I have the hunters pouch equipped. dragging the item to the slot does nothing. I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas?

You can only use them from menu. Equipping items to the quick slot allows you to use those items in combat. Doesn't make sense that you'd be able to quickly bandage yourself in combat.

It's a bit stupid then that the description of the wanderer's pouch says that it usually holds items like food, potions and bandages. So maybe it is a bug, or an oversight.

The quick slot is item 5 to use press and hold the 5 key...

Also only food and potions work as has been said you can't use a bandage in this way

You have to hold the button to use potion
