You'd get a better idea if you watched a video. It's nothing like skyrim.

You can change the direction of your swing in this game, and you can parry at the right moment to block the opponents attack and have an opening for your own attack. You have to watch your stamina or you'll get tired out and can't swing, I don't remember if Skyrim had that or not. I remember just swinging away without a care in the world in Skyrim. In KCD2 it's more involved than that.

Weapons are better suited for certain situations, like a sword will have a harder time killing someone if they're wearing full plate armor, but a mace can bash them on the head and kill pretty quickly.
Much different, it isn't as simple as look at bad guy and click to attack as it is in Skyrim. Requires you to pay close attention and is more difficult than Skyrim but it's much more fulfilling. Difficulty has been toned down a bit from the first game though.
This is an absurd comparison. So much so, I'm wondering if this is a low-rent troll attempt?

The different games have different combat systems. KCD is what my D&D friends and I would have called a "low fantasy setting". Skyrim would be a "high fantasy setting".
Comparing them is silly.

Then again, I've enjoyed them both. KCD actually requires some personal investment from the player who must learn how to win fights.
i don't know these people are serious here or not. there is not much more involvement than directional attack and ability to parry (as you know you can add a mod for that and much and much more). On the downside, KCD has no spells, shouts. I wouldn't call this much more different and directional attack is just stupid because without parrying or timing your attack wisely, every AI so far did block me, even if i attack from different direction than they are guarding. Attack direction is there so you can just `feel` it is different. Overall, worse than AC or Skyrim or GoW.

This game's exploration is the most similar to Skyrim. Not combat.
Skyrim? The game with the worst and most stupid combat system in the history of gaming? I can´t believe you even ask this.. wow..
Not at all. In fact, i would venture to say that if you are in the crowd of people that has been playing skyrim over and over for the past 20 years then you probably won't like this game at all based on everything else I assume about you.
