Well, it is either stats or fomo and the latter is such a sad thing that I was giving you the benefit of doubt.
Seriously the armor is ugly and not that great. The connected quest is just find the spot marked x times 5.
So there is nothing you are missing out on.
We don't want the armor. I honestly don't care about it at all.
However, much like the OP, I started my save in a version of the game that had the DLC, and having bought the gold version of the game for myself on Steam, I am unable to load my save.
I'd be happy to remove the Lion's Crest DLC from my save entirely if it were possible, but it's not. The idea behind being able to buy the DLC is simply to allow us to load our existing save.
edit: refund received, continuing my save file on cracked version downloaded for free on skidrow, 1.12 already available on skidrow as well, I do not preorder games and do not buy them at release, only pay if I like them after I tried it the cracked version for free and I am sure I am getting the fair amount of gameplay hours for the price asked
80 euros lost for the developers, who gives a fudge they sold two milion copies booh-ooh, hurray for me for being a responsible customer /s
Content which nearly always destroys every balance in every game. I dont even know one game where the dlc items fitted in.
There were always stronger that what you can get at a time ingame. Or in this case, the Brunswick armor is so good, its the best armor on the first map and i didnt see much armor that is much better on the second map. So you literally get nearly the best armor set that you dont need to change for nearly the whole game.
So i always suggest to NOT use any dlc items, cause they never fit in properly. Ofc i understand why they are stronger, cause who wants to pay for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ items, but at the end you just destroy economy/progress in a game with these items.
Otherwise, people will just 'wait and see' until the player reviews come in after release day. Preorder DLC's like this are a reward for players taking the risk of paying full price for a game of relatively unknown quantity.
It makes sense to release as paid DLC later on for those that want it. The 'I'm incentivised to pirate' argument is juvenile. You're incentivised to pirate anyway by saving $70, so it's doubtful not getting a small DLC like this is what pushed you over the edge.
