Hunting isn't a big thing in KCD2 I guess?
I discovered almost every forest and I barely see rabbits, boars, deers etc and only 2 or 3 specific animal areas. When I remember correctly in KCD1 there were more animal areas and animals in the forest. I love the game but it seems like on the first map they didn't put as many love and detail for animal, secrets, bandit camps etc like they did in the first game or am I just missing something?

Nice profile, with Satanic symbol artwork (cringe).

It's not worth it either, very little meat and it has no value at all. Poaching was a good way to make money in KCD1 but not here I guess.
This seems to be the biggest problem. Its worth next to nothing and still weighs a ton, just not worth your time. Why did they reduce the amount and value, while also making the animals tankier?

Yeah I noticed the same, but if you smoke/dry the meat it gives a bit more money, but still not worth the time hunting if you wanna make money with it. But on the other side I have to say it's good that you don't get a ton load of money so fast because in KCD1 you could get the best armor way too fast with hunting. Still they should balance it more in future updates for the hardcore mode, and I like hunting anways, enjoy the nature, the view and relax but I get your point.

I think you may just be missing the hunting spots, when you get the scholarship perk that unlocks all the hunting spots, you can see like 50 or more hunting spots literally dotting the map. If you want to be a poacher that is :D
Hunting seems like an afterthought from the devs really. Little incentive to do it and the animal AI / placement is very basic. Not the end of the world at all, but would have been nice to see the system given some more attention and thought.

Its bugged to all hell. Animals have warp factor of at least 2. They don't move normally just broken junk. When you need to hunt when poor its not worth it. I tried Crossbow and Bow and both useless early on I didn't bother to try after few hundred gold. Gambling was easier than warping bugged pigs and deer. The only one I killed was the one wallowing in the mud and he was bugged and just kept letting me shoot him 3 or 4 times.

The nest were more efficient.

With the right marksmanship perks and poison, your first shot can slow down a boar or deer enough so you can hit it with a second or third to kill it. I couldn't get anything except an occasional rabbit until I started doing that.
It wasn't really a big thing in the first game either, deer would just spawn right behind you as you turned around and would run away.

There's animal spots all over the place in this game, you'll notice this when you unlock the Scholarship skill that reveals all of the locations.

Yeah I noticed it on the second map, I didn't knew the second map is a own map because I thought the second map will just be Kuttenberg. So yeah I found more hunting spots now, but still it's worth almost nothing to sell meat. I wished they would have do more for RP and side activities, would be even better for this game. :)

But at least you could make good money in KCD1, okay way too much, but in KCD2 you make almost nothing, they should find the right spot for it
i havent even left the first map yet and I've found tonnes of hunting spots, and seen tonnes of big game, once you do the quests to find the poachers you find lots.
