Hunting isn't a big thing in KCD2 I guess?
I discovered almost every forest and I barely see rabbits, boars, deers etc and only 2 or 3 specific animal areas. When I remember correctly in KCD1 there were more animal areas and animals in the forest. I love the game but it seems like on the first map they didn't put as many love and detail for animal, secrets, bandit camps etc like they did in the first game or am I just missing something?

They spent more time on making the main characters fill each other rather than on filling the world to make it feel believable and lived in.
There doesn't seem to be as much to do in the open world outside of questing as there was in the first game. The roads feel much safer. Rarely get ambushed by bandits. In the first one, Cuman and Bandit ambushes were most of the combat. In this one, not so much.

At first I thought rabbits just weren't in the game. Suddenly at a certain point in the 1st region I started seeing them about other hunting locations. TBH I engaged much less with hunting this game than in KCD1 which is a shame.

Haven't seen any quests requiring it but one for making strings for a lute that you get from the game warden suggests you're wimping out if you buy the intestines rather than remove them from a fresh kill.
There are quests to track-down and kill wolves and when you do the quest to recover Mutt you're going to need to kill some wolves there as well.

Yeah you guys are right, it's really a shame. I didn't reached Kuttenberg so far but I think there won't be a outside area on this map. I really miss go hunting, enjoy the nature, do more stuff outside

Ah, that's too bad. It's just the price you pay for progress.

Hmm. I'm pretty frequently running into bandits, but they're either threatening someone or looting a corpse. There's no actual ambush that happened to me like I remember in KCD1, but a fair amount of bandit activity. What's annoying is there's so many random npcs you can meet on the road, but unless your fast travel you seem much less likely to bump into them.

This can hopefully be addressed with some better scripting for encounters and events like forest ambushes etc.

I really hope they'll add more random ambushes when you walk through forests or on the paths, and please more animals for hunting. And I really hope they'll fix the NPCs during a attack, because I just helped a big group of people with bandits with a coach and they didn't moved with the coaches or walked away after I helped them. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Same, getting annoying
lots of hunting spots in kuttenberg, but hunting generaly isnt as much emphasised as in a first game, not really required plenty of food in camps, shops, huts, game is generaly easier than the first one
I wish they would add blood trails or something. Because the fact you have to rely on mutt to hut down the kill is stupid.
