Pour Potion of soup with WHAT?

Jesus Christ, there are like 100 empty cups—or whatever you call those things you eat out of—and none of them are interactable! After 30 hours in the game, I haven't found a single item that can pour soup in the kitchen. What is this? What am I missing?

It's pour potion.. not portion. So for pouring potions INTO the food.

its to for example poison food, so when an NPC eats it, he will die, fall asleep or get other debuffs.

its just another way to deal with NPCs for a more stealth/assassin style of play.
