Level up Pebbles

I know that Pebbles and Mutts can have traits added.
Where can I find that information?
Is it true that if you ride Pebbles for 30km, you get a trait?

I set Pebbles to follow the path around the castle and "Good Old Pebbles" popped up at 35km.

I don't know what people are on about saying Pebbles can't win any races. I did lose the Nomad race but only because I took a wrong turn near the end, I was ahead the whole time before that. I didn't have much in the way of horse gear, except knight's horse shoes, and I'm pretty sure I have yet to unlock the special perk, but I was at about the 20th in game days mark, if that can give you any indication of progress.
Want to change to another horse? Fine nothing wrong with that.
But my Henry is sticking with Pebbles and she's a damn fine horse as it is, the only thing I've seen other horses have on her is courage, I know I can improve it, but I find horse back fighting way too clunky to try much of it.

No it does not, the two are seperate and tracked seperate.

Dammit! I've replaced Pebbles with another horse at the Nomad camp. Is there any way to get it back?

I found Pebbles at Semine horse farm once i replaced her with Herring, "bought" her again and even received 220 grochen. Thank you game.

If you are not able to find Pebbles and didn't do main quest at the Trosky castle, you can get Herring there and he should have hidden trait which upgrades him to similar stats as upgraded Pebbles.
