Anybody won a race yet?

I've got Wildrider and Ride Like the Wind perks. My Horsemanship is buffed to 15. I used Pebbles during the nomad questline (ask me about that in another thread). I've just ran a race at Nebakov with Herring. The horse you get after finishing For Whom the Bell Tolls I never passed Hertel, and the only time I came remotely close to him was when he was recovering stamina, right before he got it back and left me in the dirt on the way back to the yard. Am I really that bad?

Honestly... biggest bugbear is the courses aren't very well described.

eg. The Tibor race has 7/8 routes and guessing which is valid is a PITA.

Just ended up following then sprinting at finish because sometimes cheese is the only option.

After that you learn.. Hang back and only abuse nag at the end.. take every shortcut possible but only spend big when it works

The routes described are garbage.

Races are not well developed
