Ah yes, opening weekend. Wait a month, then we'll talk.
The rest of the sales are gravy train. Game paid for itself on day 1 sales. boo hoo bruh
The point is people thought it wouldn't make that far in the FIRST WEEKEND. I'm not sure how difficult that is to acknowledge, lol.
the game already paid for itself
it's not GaaS
you failed, cry more
judging by all past efforts playing the game more likely than not
It must be Superbowl weekend, because you all keep moving the goalposts!
with your logic, almost every singleplayer games out there are flops.

2 GOTY winners and really good games also had a massive "downfall" once people completed the games.
BG3 lost 90% of its Playerbase after just 1 MONTH, because .... SINGLEPLAYER
"The game has paid for itself."
Oh man. You're so gullible to believe such nonsense.
Everyone forgets there is a thing such as taxes and carry-over for the next project.
Just for steam alone, there is a 30% cut on each sale made. Then you still need to pay taxes, which is 21%, based on the RETAIL price.
So a sale of 59.99 is- with all costs deducted, suddenly only 29,4 euro's worth.
THAT money, still needs to pay for wages for game support and upcoming development.
AND then you still need to account for return from the investors.
Yeah, they've definately made their money back... /S
