Why are ya'll so miserable?

This is why developers don't take chances anymore or try new things. It's also why the production of triple A games has slowed to almost a halt post 2023 outside the covid gaming boom. The current generation of gamers can't be happy with anything, and the ability to anonymously throw passive aggressive temper-tantrums and project themselves on the internet only makes it worse. I wonder how many death threats the developers have already gotten from self-entitled gamers already. Makes me embarrassed to be a part of the gaming the community.

There are people trying to ask legitimate questions and have real discussions but being drowned out in seconds by self entitled whining and projecting. Do we really think the developers care what anyone on this forum says when we're acting like spoiled brats and almost none of the people posting have even finished the first main quest yet? Even the keyboard warriors of justice trying to high road the trolls and rage bait posts are just making it worse by feeding into it and trying to tell people their wrong when they themselves haven't even played enough yet to know what they're talking about. That or they use google because they need the satisfaction of telling someone their wrong and can't just walk away from a rage bait post. No need for experience or education when you can just google something and tell someone they're wrong.

I can't believe gaming has just become a ♥♥♥♥ measuring contest. A cesspool of self-entitled and miserable people unhappy with their life that need someone or something to project it on because they made a series of bad decisions that they need someone else to suffer for, didn't learn the necessary social skills to talk about their problems constructively, or they lived sheltered lives and never learned how to manage their emotions growing up.

Most of us on this forum are probably 20 or older and that only makes it even more embarrassing for me as a member of the community. I'm autistic too, so gaming has been my one and only hobby/safe place that's stuck with me to the age of 35. But it's depressing how close I am to walking away from it because of what it's become, both from a development standpoint and reception standpoint. The aggressive DEI messages, politics, and woke propaganda being flooded into video games to back gamers into a corner and invade their safe place is a real problem. They're reacting like cornered beasts, but flooding the Steam Forums with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and projecting on anyone in sight isn't the way to deal with it. We aren't barbarians and savages. Everyone needs to just chill because ya'll are just making yourselves even more miserable and ruining it for everyone else.

I agree. I don't even get why people are even angry. The game is exactly what the fans wanted. A highly detailed depiction of Medieval Bohemia in a realistic game world. There is nothing woke about this game. It is exactly like the first. Be a degenerate in the game if you want but the game will always invite you to pursue a more noble and virtuous path just like the first.

What do you mean, we got such innovations like boob surgery scars and trans identity in dragon age. We can now ♥♥♥♥ the bear who is actually 1000 year old dragon druid. We threw away the notion of character sex in favour of bodytypes to remove pesky exclusive content.

We obviously got innovations I described above. Question - why they are cultural rather than technical?

Anything DEI touches, it destroys. There are plenty of reasons why majority voted for Trump. One of those reasons is to get rid of DEI. This is not about "trying new things" this is us, the gamers voicing out that we do not want a bunch of degenerates to ruin video games. While KCD2 has Very Positive reviews, it is still built on the same engine hence everything from the first game can be easily be copy pasted over.

Ignoring DEI will lead to another Veilguard if not stopped. Just like a disease, DEI hires will flood Warhorse Studios and most of the veteran developers who are mainly white men will be fired. This happened in 343i, Activision, EA, DICE, etc. This applies to real life emergency departments like Los Angeles's Fire Department which are full of DEI hires. These DEI firefighters are trained to not help people in near death scenarios and to not use water during a fire situation.

Back to subject. You may ignore the whole DEI situation but for me as a gamer, I do not want see Warhorse turn into another DEI Corporate slop like EA and Ubisoft. It's bad enough The Witcher 4 is going to be woke. KCD2 was going to be my Witcher 4 but now I'll be playing it for free.

Nobody is truely angry. Everything here is just distraction to rile up people. It's all just to divide.. the only sad thing is that it works. It's kinda funny playing this game.. people here behave like most of the peasants in the game.
