Why praise dog broken?
It's greyed out 99% the time. My dog does not know the depths of my approval for him, which makes me :(

It depend on how you are positioned towards the dog. Pay attention to when he is strolling around you. The option to praise him will light up shortly and then grey out again when he moves away. It seems they could improve this a bit so it is easier to do.
