Falsely accused of murder?
Just finished a bandit fight and suddenly I'm wanted for murder in nearby Troskowitz. When I look at my crimes, apparently I murdered a "wayfarer", which is news to me. There was no body besides bandits in the area I fought them in.
Crime system in general for this game is way too reactive. I approach a doorway for a shop or a camp where someone is calling me over and I get people screaming thief and telling me to leave. It's totally bizarre.

I think is possible, to be falsely accused, when i was going to a questgiver, i see a corpse with a npc near him, premused was a bandit i hided and i have come near him to choke, but than i read was a guard, so a get up and started to run to my horse, but the guard changed to alert state, like i was in a limited area.

Now i'm not totally sure because i hided and run away without he noticed me, but i think he will accused me if he noticed me.

Maybe is part of this new mechanics of the game where you can be suspected/arrested only because you are a stranger.

Agreed. I stealth knocked out someone from behind, no one saw me, I spend multiple days in that town no issue and then I come back after a few days in game and I'm wanted for knocking the person unconscious. 150groshen or a lashing and I had no money. I don't understand why it went so long before I was "wanted" but also who the heck would have seen me? Is the guy I knocked out, from behind, supposed to know who I was somehow and reported me later?

Or completing quests for someone and being buddies after only to get told to leave their camp the next time you see them. Or being arrested for sleeping somewhere I shouldn't have. I was labeled a criminal simply for walking behind the tailors counter.

The crime system and AI are steps in the right direction. I like that people will check their chests or recognize their clothes if you were them, but clearly there's still some fine tuning needed.

This isn't errors, if you chocked a guy, but he rebelled but you stopped him before he completely go free, he will remember you because he is turned to you enough to see you, it's explained by an npc train you.

Probably needed long because he needed to wake up and report to guard.

Even the other things are normal you simple trepassing and sleep on bed aren't your.

If that's the case the game needs a mechanic where you can argue you're innocent or something, ESPECIALLY for murder. My game is basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now unless I grind hard for money to pay off the weregild, but even then I'm pretty sure my reputation in the town will tank. I just wish I knew what the hell happened that made me get accused of murdering anyone considering I'm playing a (mostly) peace-loving Henry that tries to talk his way out of violence.
So I went back to the last save - the crime did occur at some point during the fight with the bandits. I load the save, I have no crime status, 30 seconds later, I have the criminal status.
I see no other bodies anywhere near the fight, I didn't see anyone on the road when the fight started. I have absolutely no idea how the guards would think that I did anything.
The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ penalty is 6000 groschen, an impossible sum.
What the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to do besides go back to an earlier save and lose like 3 hours of gameplay?

This happens a lot. it's why I don't fist fight anymore. I was challenged to a fist fight and started getting attacked, first punch I threw everyone freaked out and I became a criminal. Bug riddled game

I've had several issues, but the latest was while doing the Voivode's quest line, I slept in MY BED in the Nomad camp, and when I woke up, I was accused of murder. I literally just cam back to the camp from Kuttenburg region in order to finish it, I haven't killed anyone in the area in what would be 20+ game days

One of the side quests, where you hunt robber barons.

I wanted to save dumb coal burners and challenge the mark for a single combat. entered the place, it is a forbidden territory, conspicuousness was 100. Challenged the guy, killed him, coal burners ran away.

And being a loot goblin, I cleared 3 chests. May be like 150 gr worth of stuff. Some time later I had a message that a theft was attributed to me. Later I had to pay 1800 gr to restore my reputation.

Should've just stabbed them all to death in their sleep.

Yes, the crime system is completely broken at this point. I had to reload a save from 3-4 real-life hours beforehand (all of which was spent exploring rather than questing, which means I will need to redo all of it later) to avoid having to pay 6000 groschen for a murder I didn't commit or get the criminal brand that totally ♥♥♥♥♥ the game up. Guess I'll have to be save scumming now just in case it happens again after another bandit fight.

None of the bandits fled this time, except the one I questioned for canker's location and subsequently released. I reloaded the save and followed him to see if he died of his wounds down the road and caused the murder charge but nope.

It happened to me as follows.

I went to do a side quest for Gules. A bandit on the road surrendered and revealed the location of the bandit camp. Henry had promised to let the bandit go. However, the bandit just stayed kneeling on the ground. I killed the bandit (I think there was an NPC nearby because the bunny with a magnifying glass appeared), completed the quest, and went to sleep.

When I woke up, I was being accused in Troskowitz. I had to pay 2k groshens to avoid punishment. I reloaded the save, did everything again, but this time I let the bandit go. Nothing happened to me.

I had an encounter with two bandits robbing a noble lady. They attacked me when I was passing by, so in self-defence I used my sword properly. The lady run to nearby Troskovitz and reported me as the murderer. WTF woman, I've just saved at least your money if not life.

Btw, I don't understand why legal spoils of war are considered "stolen goods". (spoiler) when escaping Trosky castle or infiltrating the keep in Maleshov you are performing an operation on enemy grounds. If you aqquire anything from armory or some goods, they might be considered stolen by von Bergov or his men, but from Henry's PoV are legal spoils of war and should be considered as such. (/spoiler)

Also, i don't remember killing any civilians during the game yet statistics say I've killed some. If they are enemy combatants - especially bandits, deserters, city guards, they are by no means civilians.

I killed a none hostile cuman and character from a quest I just did was passing by and reported me.
Normally I'd chase them down and end the witness but I assumed since he was a friendly it would not matter.
Went to town had to pay hefty fine.
