Honestly a 4D chess move from Vavra to fool people into thinking he makes games where Christians are depicted favorably but then pull a fast one and make it so all the pagans/heretics/heathens are now good people. I'm not sure about the other cases, but with the gipsees I just killed their leader to get the amulet and then I didn't even have to go negotiate with the Christian villiage. Of course I basically failed the quest because the devs don't like choice except for DEI purposes. Trust me bro, I'm on your side here.
