Also savior schnapps is one of the first items you can craft and nettles+belladonna are relatively close to the herbalist's alchemy stand. Look along with road/steam leading from the herbalist's to Zheleov to find belladonna and nettles are everywhere.
As you get more experience a lot of the problems you listed go away like the travel weight, hunger and stamina drain specifically, and going to the bathouse to get healed up isn't all too expensive if you decide to steal farmer billy's hat or something.
I'm sorry you had a bad time playing man. Also maybe do the side quests, stealth and crafting are important but can be fast if you want it to.
You can get a lot faster at sprinting with perks and such. I get across the entire map in about two-three minutes. Kinda silly honestly lol.
- Not entirely, but chamomile potions also buff this.
- You can buy everything, including savior schnapps.
- They give you plenty of time to back off before attacking/calling guards.
- Henry skill issue. Level his skills.
- Unsurprising RPG mechanic.
- Not really that punishing, but understandable if you hate it.
- You can fast travel to pretty much any town from wherever you are.
As for saving, "save & quit" doesn't require an item. It will overwrite your last exit save, but useful in a pinch. Beds you own/rent for the night save your game (it will say 'sleep & save' specifically).
Why do people like you even play the game when you're so very clearly not liking it.
If it's that terrible, simply stop playing. But nah, feels the need to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it in Steam discussions instead, and say some bs about how mods would "fix" these things.
Can't make this up.
It sucks that it's not for you. But not everything is for everyone. I hope you find something you enjoy and can be at peace.
This sounds like an awesome old school deep rpg.
You can't be instantly op then own noobs for the next 100h or however long the story lasts.
You have to earn it, learn it , live it.
And i can tell you after 50h you start to feel powerful and know what you can deal with and what you can't.
It sounds like you didn’t really enjoy the aspects of the game that prioritize realism and historical accuracy (at least, as much as they could achieve). Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t designed to be an easy, power-fantasy experience—it leans into immersion and the struggles of being a commoner trying to survive in a harsh medieval world.
This isn’t Skyrim, where you’re an all-powerful hero. You start as an ordinary person thrown into difficult circumstances, and the game expects you to approach challenges carefully rather than rushing in. The mechanics you listed—like stamina management, weight limits, and persistent damage—are meant to encourage planning and immersion rather than instant gratification.
That said, it’s fair if that’s not your style of game. But if you go into it with the mindset of playing as intended, rather than expecting typical open-world RPG conveniences, you might end up appreciating what it does differently.
