Lent achievement conflict with Mutt side quest

So early on this quests pits you against wolves. I've noticed that "killing" wolves with your fists doesn't count under player>statistics>animals killed.

Yep, interested in this question too. There are lots of hostile wild dogs and wolves around. Do they count?

I decided to go ahead and "kill" them with your fists. It doesn't count in "animals killed". If that turns out to be wrong, oh well. I imagine the game uses that stat tracker to confirm for the achievement.

im pretty sure fists = knocks out, to make it much easier ive been doing a mace perfect block riposte, with a mace attack, and it brings them to an inch of their life, they either run away or if you kick them once or twice they knock out. if you wait 2 hours they wake up again and run away so they're not dead. the option to butcher still shows up but they're not dead. yes you can butcher a live animal in this
