How do you assassinate?
I try to and it comes up with a two blue sword icon how do i finish it.

Click while the blue icon is there!

It functions like a QTE minigame of sorts. If it shows a sword icon, press attack/LMB. If it shows a shield, press defend/RMB. If you're strong enough/have the right perks, the QTE might not show and you'll show kill/knock them out.

Have a dagger equiped.

Press the attack button right when you see the ''two blue sword'' icon, same mechanic as when you riposte, then you might have see ''the green shield'' icon and you need to press the block button, same mechanic as perfect blocking, but you have to be really fast
