Too ADHD-ridden [myself] to possibly enjoy the game. Feel like missing out.
I don't own the game, just seen streams, but I recall when playing KCD1, I was often confused, having no idea what to do even though I was told, felt like a complete moron. That's not me saying the game is boring, I could watch my brother do a full run any day (I know it thanks to him), I actually had a bit of a soft spot for that game, the story was engaging.

Now this one's out, I've been watching a streamer play it, have enjoyed what I've seen, made my peace with the things I didn't like (you know the ones), felt keen on playing myself, but, I fear my poor attention span will kick in again and ruin the experience like it did at KCD1, which I never finished because of this.

Am I a r*tard? What do I do? I mean, I'm highly considering playing at some point, but still.

True .. you don't own the game... But false.. you didn't watched the stream..
.. however.. True, you have played an illegal copy of Kingdom cume 2 🤭
get the fitgirl demo and see if it's the game for you

you dont own the game yourself, and also, a troll with a private profile, get out, we don't want your sort here.
From what I've seen, it's not much more linear than the first game. If the open-endedness of the first one gave you trouble then I don't see how KC2 would be any different.

Yeah, since there could be hostiles in the way while I was underlevelled, I was treading way too carefully, not exploring much.

A game cannot be a chore, you want to enjoy it. As you mention, you don't have clear markers for quest givers or huge X marking a quest objective (map helps on some levels). I find myself reading/listening quickly through the NPC conversations to soon realize 'what? wait... where am I supposed to go/do?' and have to go to the journal to read the latest entries.

Only you would know if that kind of gaming experience is suited for you or not.
It can be (very) frustrating) at times, but also more rewarding.

Ha, that's funny. Getting games that way is so tedious.

You're right. Maybe that time with KCD1 I didn't have that 'I'm all in for this' drive I'm getting now.

Anyway, I wrote this post mostly hoping to get the attention of people who relate on the ADHD part. A "yeah, me too, but did this" kinda response.

Part of why I was hesitant has to be my environment - I typically have someone watching me play games so I'm bad at failing over and over, it's awkward.

The idiots from the hate brigade took a massive L.
That issues?

Hate speech can't be normalized, and then it can't be like ...oopsie, my B.
Which they did ignore last time the demented moron with the funny mustashe, spewing THIS kind of racial hate.

If it hasn't been taken down or something, I'll mark this one as topic answer.
