Something that makes combat INSTANTLY more fun!
Ok so from the tutorials and just about everything else in this game you know that it's the most boring combat known to man(when it actually works as intended). However, there is a way to make it instantly more fun, and that way is called dodge and counter. So how does it work? Well, when you see the little shield pop up to block, instead press the SPACE key and pick a direction, you will dodge out of whatever strike they were making, and instantly become temporarily unlocked from regular combat, giving you the opportunity to do a strike you actually wanted to do, but couldn't because of being locked in. Try it, you're welcome! :dungreedshortsword:

I just do perfect block and riposte constantly. Havent lost a fight in 15 hours. The timing is very easy to get and you just keep going until the person you are fighting gets hit then you just wait for them to attack and start again.
Get the dog to attack them as well and wail on their back while they focus mutt. This makes combat trivial as well

The problem of perfect block, is that if you do it, you don't get to get out of that stupid 5 direction view, so you have only those 5 attack options and block. When you dodge however it rips you out of that view, letting you attack any part of them with your actual weapon.

Dont use the dog if you're trying to enjoy combat, it's too damn op.

Rolling is very risky on 1vX fights. You want to always keep the enemies close to your FOV so that Perfect Block is possible on targets you are currently not targeting. That is not to say I do not roll, you want to roll every 10 seconds for the passive buff called "River". I dodge backwards.

My playstyle is Master Strike anticipation. When you get into a Perfect Block + Attack chain against an enemy, instead of continuing to block you then attack into the enemy by reading his arm movement.
The goal is to always create opportunites for you to Master Strike by whatever means. Goading them into attacking via verbal taunts is also a very viable strategy when fighting multiple opponents to focus down the weaker ones by making them aggressive.

1v1 Fight in this game is literal child's play, completely un-loosable.

The easy way to defeat any 1vX fight is wall it off, much like in real life massive numbers of enemies fail to attack when they have no room to, which means if you can find a narrow passage(which is usually available between carts and buildings, or furniture if indoors) there is literally no way for anyone else to attack you, as they never actually walk around if you're not in the open, and can't do anything in a confined space but wait their turn.
