The rock maze stealth mission at the start is annoying...and tiring.

I was very much looking forward to this game. I started playing and my short first session ended just before the first enemy encounter. I tried to pick up again today, and yeah yeah, bad luck, bandits whatever. Gotta start a story and game somehow....

But.

naked, unarmed in the darkness in a rock maze, instakilled by everyone and a seemingly broken knockout option, every enemy encounter is instant death and you basically have to try and retry and retry again and memorize enemy patterns, with NO saving, except for checkpoints, with looong and tedious times inbetween?

As first mission?

Seriously?

I don't seek out stealth focussed games, deliberately so. I do not take issue with stealth missions, but JESUS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHRIST, please let me set foot into the game, before forcing me to endure the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aspect of all gaming on me.

if you rq because of the tutorial stealth mission... my God i have pity for you because there is a 10 ten longer and harder one in the future that made me consider refunding.

You're not supposed to fight them, you're injured, near death, you're supposed to follow the tutorial instructions and run away. It's the intro of the game, if you're going to have issues here then I'm sorry to say you might not enjoy the rest of the game. You don't need to stealth often, but it is needed for some quests, even main ones to a certain extent.

I get that you're not supposed to fight them, but they do seem to also have wonky stealth detection.

I'd be much more fine with this sort of mission, if it wasnt practically the first one they slap in your face.....

If you try to go off the rails in the tutorial it doesn't work well in my experience. If you played KCD1 and are trying to do advanced things it won't work. Just stay on the rails and get to the open world portion and it is much better.

Yea the first mission, letting you know this game is brutal.
You can use G to throw rocks, and just walk past them while they are turned.

don't try to kill them.move past, easy mode.
