DELETED ENTIRE 22 hour playline on accident.

I played 22 hours. Got to the part in the story where you are at the wedding. I was watching people dance in the game and half looked and clicked what I thought was the save option in the menu. Then a screen I had never seen popped up showing playlines or something and I clicked on the first one. Now I realise I must have clicked on new game and overwrote my entire playthrough. WHY is NEW GAME right NEXT to save game? WHY is it so easy to delete your entire save file from in the game? Is there anything I can do to get my save file back? I am devastated. It should not be that easy to delete your save and the delete option shouldn't be RIGHT NEXT TO the save option!!!

That's how you recognize young people, no old timer would have less than 2 manual save files.

This is a valid complaint. I don't really understand why devs keep doing this.

ITS not all ur fault theres a thing called phantom finger, if u use computer alot and if ur not catching urself ur finger will just click down. seriously, try watching tv and play a game but constantly glance at tv and ull see ur finger randomly click down sometimes. happens to me all the time.

Doesn't the game only allow one save file per playthrough? If not let me know but I'm pretty sure. In every single game that allows me to have many save files I actually DO have at least 3 so your comment is invalid.

Every time you manually save... which by the way you are suppost to do frequently.....you click through multiple windows that pop up. If you don't manually save often you could lose hours of gameplay. This happens so frequently that you kind of do it quickly without thinking. The developers put the option to basically delete your entire game DIRECTLY next to this Save option in the menu. It's probably likely that you can accidentally click new game and then Enter on your keyboard a few quick times and delete your game. It's literally that easy. It's TOO EASY to erase your file. That's what my message is.

Yeah just had this happen and it's annoying as hell, it should not be that easy, and also, they could just keep a temporary copy of them or something for backups, but no. You can happily just accidentally delete the whole thing in a few button presses. Maddening

Also, to the people on about "lol make multiple saves", no, it deletes the entire save profile in like 3 clicks. As said, when you're so used to having to repeatedly click through all the irritating save popups and such, it's very easy to go through them on habit. It shouldn't be a thing you can EVER do accidentally, this is really awful UI design

Yup. Normally I don't post things but I made this post to potentially help prevent this problem happening to more people. Sorry to hear that. I recommend taking a day or two off the game to let emotions go away and then start again and just focus on the story to progress faster. that's what I'm doing. How many hours did you get?

You get multiple saves. Snapps, quest start, quest end and on exit. Seems like if you overwrite your profile they ALL get deleted though.

Yeah you're right except I'm talking about the playline file not the individual saves. When I said you only get one save file I'm talking about the PLAYLINE save FILE (there is only ONE per playthrough) If this gets overwritten there is no way to recover it. It got overwritten so deleted all progress.
