The main quests are like a tornado!!
Once you start them, you can forget about the sandbox, you ain't getting off,

It keeps throwing me from one mission to the next, follow a character, throwing me into a battle, locking me up inside castle's etc, i cannot read skill books because there is always no time to lose.

Sorry but KCD 1 wins here, for a sand box'y main quest line.

Starting to regret starting the main quest as i have had no time to get better armour, train weapons, alchemy etc. wtf?

whaaaat
I spent 20 hours getting to the wedding. Finished the wedding, and the story is exactly where it was 20 hours ago. Nothing has happened.

Just don't rush the main quest, dude. No one forces you.

Same, doing side quests all the time, while main quest is waiting for me. It had a single times quest from the main quest so far. Other than that, I can do whatever I want.

Not sure what the problem is actually.

You finished the weeding and the story is exactly where it was?

Soooo... you had "servant" clothes all the time and no weapons?
Once I've finished the weeding it was like 2 hours of non-stop main quest. I just quit right after Godwin saves Henry from prison and I'm pretty sure I'll have to keep doing the main quest.

I tried to be cheeky earlier and it turns out that game doesn't really inform you if you're doing a timed quest or not (like... it doesn't fail, you get a different result, had to go back to 1h earlier save because of that).

Nu-uh, KDC I was better in that regard, but I'll admit - KCD II main story is much more entertaining.

I got a little tempted to wait out those 12 bells thing... does the game ends after that or do we get the same stuff?

I hear you bud, but the main part when you have to rescue capon from being hanged, i am stuck in that main quest for ages!

I have done that, then its about meet in von bergow, then the party, then i am thrown into a battle to capture a that two faced groom, burning down seisenne or whatever that fortress is called

Its just relentless, i am now on the second map, gone to the tavern, into a brawl, sorted that out after a length cut scene, then dragged into a battle to ambush a convoy, done that, back into the tavern, discussed to meet katherine in kuttenberg and now finally i am off the leash again.

I hope?!?!? Unless i am on a timer? who knows?

No shot this game is that thoughtlessly designed. Is it really that bad with timed quest after timed quest in the main story? I've been playing probably 15-20 hours and I just found Mutt. I've also have a full set of armor after killing the poachers and bandit that stole the guy's horse before relieving their corpses of their belongings. The bandit didn't need that armor anymore.

I also have a full set of knight armor that I stole from the Troskowitz guard armory but I can't wear it in Troskowitz or the guards recognize it and try to arrest me. lol I also have a pretty good horse too after selling pebbles and haven't even started the marriage quest at all.

So are we saying that once I start the main quests I'm not going to have time to buy another horse, be stuck with the armor I have, or do any side-questing between main story quests because they're all timed?

I don't know if main quests are timed?

but it does constantly throw you from one mission to the next, locking you up, then making an escape, sneaking around a castle etc

I even had to withstand a siege in my best high charisma outfit because i was not prepared or allowed to change into armour, luckily i was good enough with the sword skills etc at that point to put up a fight. two hits and i would be dead.
