Shouldn't headshots kill instantly?
I've been shooting roes with ash hunting bow/hunting arrow, went right up to them, let loose, and all of them tank headshots and ran away. I know the devs are trying to go for realism and I would understand maybe for a buck... but a roe? A roe shouldn't be able to tank an arrow to the head and sprint away like nothing ever happened.

You don't shoot deer in the head with arrows its protected by the skull. You shoot them in the heart and irl when one is shot in the heart they run away for a bit then die its soon after but they do actually run. As far as the game is concerned if its early game your bow is weak you are weak and your arrows are poor.
The damage is very arcade, its not realistic. It doesnt take like 5 sword swings to kill a wild dog or make it stop attacking and run away.

See I tried that too, I shot it in the chest/lung but it still sprints away and I completely lost it. If I shoot it here would it go down eventually?

It's almost like there are Stats in the game, along with skill levels, and weapons do actual damage based on these factors... Almost like it's an RPG... very odd..
