How to free look in combat and lock onto enemies.

You can hold mouse 3 to freelook during combat. You can also press tab to lock an enemy and press again to tab target.

People complaining about the combat in thus honestly need to stop spamming attack and block. Use the environment in fights were you are outnumbered. Practice. Train. Learn skills.

As someone who enjoyed the first one for around 400 hours I can honestly say I was curious about how combat would be changed by making master strike sword only. I started kcd 2 using mace only as it was vastly superior in the first game.

After spending more time learning and experimenting with the combat system I have since ditched heavy armor and the mace in favor of movement speed and longsword. The very fact that you can do this and use techniques and combos and destroy piles of people without being touched was like an aha moment for me. It clicked.

Combat in KCD 2 is way better than 1. There I said it. Practice it. It's so satisfying. Enemy attacks block, don't attack. Wait and watch and master strike. Follow with combo. Get used to that and you will see, just how much this system has improved. Hope this helps anyone struggling with it.
