grey hand inventory symbol
I pickpocketed someone out in the wilderness successfully. The inventory symbols on the gear I stole is a grey hand, not a red hand. Anyone know what grey hand means? Is it "stolen", will it be confiscated, can I sell it to a normal merchant?

grey hand is when the item is stolen, but not from current area (like you steal something from town A, but when you're in Town B it will be a grey hand since its not stolen there)
also guards wont confiscate it if its grey (since its not stolen in their town/area they wont know its stolen)

for more info, look at the perk "Thief's Eyes" in thievery.
