Is the game too easy for anyone else?
Might be my fault for doing all the side quests and not even at the wedding yet but swinging a longsword through a bunch of bandits is much easier than in KCD1 vs 2 cumans.

I'm wondering whether it gets harder (is pre-wedding easy tutorial mode?) or have I plateau'd in terms of the difficulty curve? Can any Kuttenberg folks comment?

When you reach the quest with sir Jan and his bro, do let me know how easy it is.

i've funneled them into that pathway where his bro is , and kill them one by one there with pots. very curious if anybody can just take them 1 vs 10+ in open since they are quite skilled, and your 1 ally folds real quick

Are you talking about the Gules encounter or a later fight?

Zimburg. 2nd map , my hardest fight so far

Second as far as difficulty was
Mathiew the collector band in the open 10ish duders. not all armored , some died in 1 hit
You can poison their food in their camp , but i took them in the open

I wouldn't say too easy, though I do suspect a big chunk of the difficulty I have is I keep hitting 'q' to block and master strike and I just can't seem to break that habit and it gets me killed a lot.

Q is in kcd1 unless you rebind the mouse 2?
In KCD2 even after losing some levels after the tutorial you are still strong enough in terms of EXP and skills to fight bandits right off the bat as long as you get some armor.

It makes sense in regards to progression, but you're in Act 1 and during the wedding part the only enemies you can fight besides guards are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bandits. I've just entered into act 2 post the wedding and I've just been leveling archery so I can't yet speak to harder enemies but I bet eventually I'll be fighting dudes in full plate armor that require a bit more skill to cut apart.

I found it quite easy as well. And that without doing a ton of side quests.
Stamina was never really a problem. You just need to household smartly, don't rush into fights, be aware of your surroundings and move use your space, take advantage of your enemies weapon reach.

Of course, I died a few times but far less than expected.
Except one particular main mission that was wrecking my head for a long time as everyone in my band decided to bite the dust almost instantly leaving me alone with a ton of enemies in the open field.. God I hated that one.

You get thrown more plate armor at you as you could ever possibly carry relatively early in game so as long as you wont get surrounded it's quite a walk in the park. Fist fights? - Enjoy breaking your fingers on my plate. Wolfes? - Yeah doggo, ever tried to bite through a steel can?

You also get your hands on a certain longsword quite early which is fantastic and I used it till end of the story next to a short sword shield combo for tighter spaces like rooms, gangways etc.

Later on I sometimes didn't even bother to wear heavy armor on travels and opted for a "noble traveler" attire with lot's of bling for Charisma.

Plate armor and alike are far to common in this world that wasn't something every peasant just had lying around. In kcd2 it's as common as getting the syphilis for the time which is sad.

I mean Henry.. even though he's a btard son of a noble with slightly higher standing should be feeling like winning the lottery when getting his hands on some plate.

tl;dr: I think the whole games was/is a bit to easy and forgiving.

I was in the same situation before the wedding, regarding side quests. The game changer for me was finding Brunswick's armor pieces and forging Basilard.
Its easier too because the enemies at least where I am at this point in Trotsky region all have bad gear or just one guy has good gear and everyone else is a trashmob you kill with ease so then you just duel the final geared guy and without support he poses no threat and you can just block if you can't switch direction fast enough or master strike him over and over. I will say Crossbows are absolute ♥♥♥♥ it takes 2-3 headshots with the Pre-Order one and good ammo to kill a guy with a regular ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hat on. Meanwhile in the tutorial on the walls that crossbow is a 1 shot headshot kill even with armour. Hello???

The lock picking was suppose to be easier but it's not. It's 10 times harder when starting out than KCD1.

Game isn't pay2win. That would be horrible.I didn't pay to get a horrible advantage and then breeze the game like it's on story mode without any difficulty and make me .. hate the game being ez mode.

That's the issue, I was replaying KCD1 recently so I have strong muscle memory for 'q' to block and master strike. It being done with right click in KCD2 is throwing me off. Not sure when I'll adjust.

Fair. Just do the combat training until you adjust.

I'm not there yet, but once I do reach it I will try to record my 1st attempt and post it back here.

Eh, I'll just keep playing and will adjust when I adjust. Don't need combat training, it's not like I die every fight because of it :P
