Quest book missing after storm quest. (bug) (Solved)

sooo i noticed way to late in the game that i hadn finished the magnum Opus side quest where i had to give the book i found in a fortress to the miller. and i saw that i no longer had the book.

sifting through my safe-files i saw that i had the book when i defended a fortress before the "storm" quest, but after certain events after that you lose all your gear and have to get it back, i found that the book for the quest was not among the gear i got back.
Might be a bug?

Maybe they should have put the book under "quest items" so you cant lose it by acciddent.

UPDATE:

for anyone else with the same problem. the Book is back on the pile of dung at the outer wall of Fort trosky. where you found it the first time. when you pick it up your quest book WONT refresh or give you the waypoint,but if you give the book to the miller yourself the quest chain will continue as normal.

Hope that helps anyone who might encounter the same bug.

Man, this bug was horrible. After 'recovering' the book, any fast travel would make it to dissapear from my inventory! I had to pick it up a third time and go to the miller by myself to be able to continue this quest!

Thats weird. didnt happen to me when i fast traveled. could do it fine.
But good to know for others,should that happen to them.
