Combat not working
I went to practice with Tom. He has me attacking up, right left. I click fast, slow,...... moving the mouse in the direction and they light up and its not working.
Do you have to get your skill up before the game works or is there another trick.

Watched a few videos on getting started. They all said, something along the lines of lock picking ins't that bad, pocking isn't that bad, combat isn't that bad,..... isn't that bad. So far this my opinion of the game it isn't that bad, meaning its not good 3/10.
Unfortunately I played too much to get a refund, and I'm trying to see if there is something good in the game.

Same goes for master strike, if you've just changed direction to counter but your hands haven switched yet and are still transitioning it will fail.

Agility and combat without armor helps a bit but it's clunky at it's core, you need to play at its own pace, combos are kinda useless anyway.

It is supposed to be hard.
Just be ok with being bad at it for a while and learn.
The point of a TRAINER is to TRAIN you in combat.

If you think combat against a single dude is hard, you will have a rude awakening.

One the up side everything works, combos, riposte, stabby stab stab with longswords, feints, etc.
You just have to be able to learn them mechanically with your mouse and keyboard.

The problem is that the trackball and keyboard isn't working. Same with lockpicking. Is the game controller easier?

Tom is bugged. Ended up cheesing by repeating the attacks until one made it through.

Both rounds. Just plain aggravating but got through.

Tomcat is bugged... Can easily prove by practising the attack instead of doing the quest. In practice, you're golden. In the "quest" he display perfect blocking.
No no, Iowix has a point. Tomcat's training with this exact combo was hell for me too, because the last strike to the left didn't register. had to try up to 40 times until it somehow worked. Pulled of every other combat trick in KCD2 up to that point and also played KCD1, so I can guerantee Iowix isn't just a skill issue.

He litterally trained you to use a type of attack which can't be blocked if you excute in the right way, you listened a single thing he said to you?

There is no bug with tomcat, simple learn the things he teached to you.

Good to know Tomcat is bugged. If not the game in general is bugged. Either way its nice to know its not just me.

Not bugged, if you have problem to to be too much blocked by him is simple because you not learned the things he teached to you.

I suggest you to stop to skip all the dialogue and read what a trainer is teaching you, probably you not even known what is master strike.

Combat is very slow (nothing like real combat). There is plenty of time to move the mouse over and click. Its not skill as the side is clearly highlighted when I click. Yet it fails 90% of the time on the combat training quest.

Overall very disappointed in the game anyways, so I am just writing it off as a $60-70 loss.
Most everything in the game is just a chore that seemed bugged or just doesn't work (examples are blacksmith, and alchemy). Most everything in the game is just a frustrating chore instead of a fun game.

I think that may be the issue. I'm watching the little red bar, not the location of my sword. That may be the issue. If I play it again, I'll try that out.

Yea but the thing about that specif combo witch isnt master strike that meny dont get is. Move the sword to an upright position, strike, from there youre stance will naturaly fall left but the combo demands a right atk soo. Sword from top strike move stance to the right and strike when strikin horizontal it will naturaly switch sides so no moment beside the last strike can be input this is where meny fail and move the sword that Is allready going and hense ending the combo. If it was teken it would be - up strike right strike * strike

This is bugged for both training characters for some reason they are supposed to attack and you’re supposed to counter instead they just stand there and not attack at all. Only one of the characters actually attack, but it is a cheese to get him to and even doing so still does not give you a chance of perfectly doing it so they really need to read. Write some code because the fact that they are bugging out and not doing what they said they are supposed to be doing is definitely a conflicting run code which meaning the action that he is supposed to be doing is not activating and said he is frozen in one position and is not doing anything else You can run away and they will chase, but that’s it for some reason they will not attack
