No player storage chest in the Devil's Den?

Do I have to walk all the way to Kuttenberg now

talk to the inkeeper you have a room with chest on the second floor

Second floor, balcony, last room.
Usually you can tell the player rooms they have the green circle thingy, not sure whatchumacallit in english.
There is a easy lock on the room that you need to clear.
Your bed and chest are on the far side of the room.

there is a blacksmith in the back of the devils den. he sleeps in the first door on the right hand side as you are looking at the fire. and his chest is on the left hand side door. his room has a easy lock , then you an rob his key

strangely enough, after talking to the inn keeper, the bed he gave me does not let me sleep & save. Also the chest next to it is not usable as a storage chest.

Show us a screenshot with the greenish circle above the door.

In other words, that is not the bed you got to sleep in. Search for the correct one.
Two rooms you can enter only from the balcony, one by another, yours is the one on the left but not both beds are yours.

You can bug it out tho. If instead of asking directly for Lodging and you talk about the Innkeepers real Occupation - you never get a Key for the room. You have to steal it from the Blacksmith. I have not passed more than 2 days ingame at the moment so i cant tell you if they Change the lock after a while. But anyways its an Easy lockpick so if you messed up liek me you still can use this no problems. Just dont do it whiel someone is around.

It is easy to miss. You have to go via the balcony to the last room and your bed is the one in the back with the chest right besides it.

And your balcony view is immense, I just stand and immerse myself there every time!

The other way to tell if its your bed is if you go to it and it says "Sleep & Rest" or just "Sleep". The Rest only appears on your assigned bed.

Oooooh wtf I never realized this. On my second playthrough I dad to lockpick myself into my own room constantly and was really confused.

Devil's Den is screwed - even though you sleep in your own bed it doesn't say "save and sleep" - it's fked
I don't know why or how but that tavern is nonsensical

Are you sure you are using the right one? Pretty sure there are 2 chests and 2 beds. Finished the game a while back so I may be mistaken

By the way, apart from Suchdol and Devil’s Den, have you found any other bed & chest in the second map?

I’ve yet to visit Kuttenberg and I definitely hope there’ll be one?

there's a bunch of inns with lodgings around the region and 3 in Kuttenberg

I would have liked it if we could have upgraded the Devil's Den a bit - got an armoursmith and a weaponsmith in, got a horse fence etc.
Fixed some of the burned buildings - turn it into a little town around the den. Would have been really cool

Yes.
The best one is in the middle of Kuttenberg.
