Alcohol addiction

I wanted to raise my drinking level and what better way than to drink myself to oblivion. So I did just that and got to level 15 (stopped because i didn't have any more money). I knew I was going to get addicted and the only way to get rid of it is quit drinking. I tried to sleep and wait it off for 5 days and the addiction icon hasn't even lowered down. Is this a bug or is there no limit to how messed up I can get this?

I wish, but heavy drinker gives me -10 on all stats and right now I have 13 total in stats

Haven't found an answer either. Someone on reddit claimed, he got rid of it during the wedding activities while not drinking anything. Hair o' the Dog only suppresses the Obsession-Debuff (even at "Henry's"-quality-level). Better than nothing, so start brewing :D

Just read on the Nexus forum, that someone cured it waiting about 90 days using a 10x time speed console cheat command. Yikes o.O

It cured it in the first game, here it's just suppressed

Yes, wait a loooooong time. Since I reached level 15 from 5 I've waited about 700 in game hours to finally get rid of the addiction
