I just got the follow-up event to the ragged man event in Kuttenberg. I gave him the 150 he asked for and another 150. I got the second road event now and got back 500 and an Ornate Hunting Crossbow.

I guess the event in the first region would work out similarly.

I followed him after giving him the 150 and he just went to the Zhelejov Wagoners' Inn and ordered a beer. classic

Edit* you meet him again as a random encounter in the 2nd region.

Later on you meet him again and he gives you 500 gr and a crossbow

I gave him 150 then knocked him out and took it back. Later on in burnt Mezholes I found and spoke to him and he gave me 500 back and an ornate crossbow.

If you talk to the guy he f*cking tells you.
You literally just have to pick the "Who are you" option. Hes a noble thats been held hostage for 2 years because his father took Wenceslaus side when the league of lords mutinied. They captured him to force his father to make pro-sigismund decisions.

Seriously, did you just skip through the talking part?

I think you're meant to give him the money. He's a parallel to the situation Henry and Hans are in at the start. He's a noble who gets caught up in his relative's conflict and loses everything after an ambush. You're supposed to relate to him.

Remember every NPC not believing Hans/ Henry and treating them like crap towards the beginning of the game?
