Where to find lock picks.

I am hanging around the starting town but have search everywhere I can think of for lock picks. I'm a thief and a useless thief without lock picks.
Can any one point me to somewhere I can find some?

I did absolutely tons of herb picking and sometimes as a reward for the 'lucky find' perk you get 3 lock picks.
I've had that 3 times in a couple of hours of herb picking.

I have found a few in nests.

Traders tend to have them for sale, I think I also saw them at woodcutters and blacksmith. One of the crafting perks give you lockpicks for smithing stuff.

Yeah, you can even find jewels and dice insignia although it isn't as common

With the proper skill you get them for free whenever you craft something in the forge.
