Motion Sickness
So I decided to hop into the game after seeing and hearing some fantastic things about it however, I'm really struggling with motion sickness. Did this occur in the last game for anyone and do you have any tips on how to make this playable for me, settings etc?

21:9 monitor with a maxed FOV. I can't play any FP games without that. Disabling head bob, if that's an option can help too.
as fenris said. Higher FOV and deactivating anything that bobs or is bluring the image can probably help you.
Also had the same issue, had to refund but not particularly related to this one. However, it added up.
I do not mind the head bob or herb picking animation.
I got sick from being drunk... It was absolute the worst experience ever. Had to ask my boyfriend to continue. I was about to puke.
Rest of the game is fine after I changed my settings and let geforce experience optimise my game.
Enjoying it so far.

I have really bad motion sickness and everything like door opening, herb gathering, jumping over fences, riding and running, make me almost puke. Luckily there were mods for the first game, that made it better and playable for me. Waiting for such a mod for the new Game. Until then I can't play the game unfortunately. I don't get it why it is necessary to pin the camera to the head of the character and dont make that optional? :tcry:

Widen the FOV as far as it can go. Keep motion blur turned off.

If you return to the game after doing those two things, you may still experience nausea, but that may well prove to be because your mind has come to associate the game with that feeling. Take a break for a day and see if it still happens later. If it does, there is nothing to do but wait for mods.

if you actually really get motion sickness from playing this game, i suggest having an appointment with a doctor. i mean, this is not a hardcore VR game or something special. if playing an ordinary video game gives you physical problems - not a good sign.

What an ignorant statement. Some people get motion sickness where you don't, it is as simple as that.
Just play for a few hours and your brain will adjust to the motion sickness

Or you could obsess about how you have a beautiful incurable disease that makes you special like a snowflake .... Sounds like a lot of fun, tbh
First person forced animations that take control away from you is something that bothers me a lot. Especially on keyboard & mouse.
KCD 1 & 2 has a lot of them. I wish they didn't but they do.
Could that be the cause perhaps?
There might be mods that remove some of it. I don't know.
