Button for scratching Mutt doesn't appear at screen, who knows how to fix?

It doesn't appear or is it just showing as disabled all the time because he moves around? Mine was showing constantly disabled, so I had to call him to Heel instead of having him free. At that point I could use the Praise button (V on keyboard).

Nope, it doesn't appear, and any orders doesn't help.

Hmmm, how long have you had him? Mine didn't appear for a while for some reason until suddenly it did. I don't know what I did or if it was progression related or what. Maybe try feeding him first? I dunno, but that sounds annoying, poor boy needs some lovins

Happened to me as well. Then all of sudden I could pet him. Might be a bug from when you find him

Found the solution on reddit post - wait a full day (press T and wait 24h), worked for me, now I can pet my doggo!
