you cant really make many mistakes for it to get tier four, so don't overheat it, also make sure to try and keep a Rythm with the hammer dont overhold it and keep spacing as well , get henry to whistle while doing it helps and go up and down the blade once flip repeat.
As you can't reforge it over, I loaded my save and will wait until Warhorse fixes the bug and will use the Dueling Longsword (183 damage) that long.
There is a mod on Nexus to circumvent the problem, I think.
What exactly do you mean? Waiting until the end of the game?
Yeah, [spoilers]once you beat the game it becomes Henry's sword and you can forge it as tier 4.[/spoilers] Until then it seems that reforging Radzig sword caps you out at tier 3 (which I guess makes sense, since forging something to tier 4 makes it "Henry's" and it'd make no sense to have Henry's Radzig's Sword Reforged).
I have T4 radzigs sword. It rly isnt that great tbf due to far better other options (unless u want longsword ofc)
IMO dont bother with reforging or crafting any rare weapon like ataman or adorned or radzig's until u are +21/22 lvl craft and have some stamina.
Everything else is stupid simple
Heat to almost white
Bash rhytmically so Henry whistles
You should be able to make pretty much EVERY recipe in one go without reheating.
Blacksmithing is all about crafting level + stamina + Rhythm and accuracy.
Most recipes you can double-hit same spot except for some swords like Radzig, that saves u moving the hammer around.
I usually go in a straight line bit by bit, then back and forth, until i slapped each area 3-4 times, then i flip and finish up.
And, yes, I forge other weapons to 4 no problem.
