Can't reforge Radzig's sword into tier 4
At a certain point in the game, you reclaim your father's sword, and its stats are pretty mid. However, you can reforge it to improve it at a smith shop. I have the Martin's Secret perk, and I've forged other weapons to be tier 4, but I cant get Radzig's reforged sword to be tier 4. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if I'm missing something? If the sword just can't be tier 4, that just seems kinda odd. Especially with how big a deal the sword has been to Henry's character, that you're not able to reforge it into the pinnacle of 15th century swords is pretty anti climactic.

Tip for future reference, do not put spoilers into your thread discussion title on a newly released game. It's a surefire way of losing your ability to post on the forums. I personally don't care about spoilers, but I'm sure you're getting a lot of "WTF mans!"

Doesn't it have the spike circle of a quest item around it?
I mean you can use it ..BUT if it's a quest item.

I noticed the same thing, I tried several times but could never get it to tier 4, even though I was able to do so for several other swords.

I just decided to forge it anyways and maybe next time I play through it'll be fixed or not

While I'm not sensitive to spoilers, if you personally are you should probably avoid the forum until you complete the story because the game really goes places. Also, Heavy use of the block user feature is recommended.

I believe quest items can't be forged to tier 4. I couldn't get the guild sword to tier 4 either.

I have Craftsmanship at 30 and the Perk but i can not craft Weapons to Tier 4! No Weapon i have craft is tier 4. Only Tier 3. Every Time.

Have you managed to craft quality of the 4th yet? If not I'm assuming you already have the right perk for it as well. besides that make the blade almost white hot i call it don't burn it and you hopefully can follow a constant rhythm and try not hit the same spot twice and flip side same thing, then reheat before she ever gets relative to cold, and it should be of the 4th quality. You can actually forge a 4th quality weapon in one uhm, heating sequence I'll call it.

You can only forge brand new weapons to T4 after you've got the perk.
Special Quest weapons and "legendaries" stay at their tier.
Which makes sense: Radzigs weapon has already been made by a master swordsmith and branded with his sign (M for Martin), same will likely apply to any other weapon that has a name.
Reforging it makes it still the same weapon and would be forgery if Henry would put "his" mark onto it

Looks like you need to not reforge it until the end of the main story, and when it loses its quest item stats and becomes "Henry's Sword" at the end of the main story, you can only reforge it to "Henry's Sword Reforged", seems like a bug?

I've seen someone reforge an item at the end of the main story after changing its name, getting Henry's Reforged Sword at level 4

I just finished the game and I'm upset about it cause I had level 3 reforged radzig sword and when I got it back at the end as "Henry's sword it changed it to level 2 and I cant reforge it anymore. So thats something to know as well because now its not the best sword anymore
