How long until stolen items no longer have stolen icon?

I noticed my stolen weapon no longer has it.

it takes a few days but if you steal things in trosky and go to semin they should not be marked as stolen anymore it'S most of the time based on location

It's based on distance from where you stole it and the value of the item. I stole a helm worth about 1500 groshen in Trosky, and it's still marked stolen 5 days later. If you steal an apple, the stolen mark will do away in an hour or two.

It's based on value with a rate of roughly 100 gr per day... so 250 gr item should be clear in 2.5 days. But waiting for the $4000 gr items will take over a month of in game time to become non-stolen.

To help speed up the process, once you get to Kuttenberg, you will have the opportunity to participate in a swordfighting guild tournament. If you talk to Menhard von Frankfurt after completing his main questline, he will give you the opportunity to participate in the tournaments. One of the prompts after signing up for it is to wait until the next tournament, which is roughly a week. This passes plenty of time to get rid of the stolen icon.
