How to sell stolen horse?

I "stole" one of the horses at the nearest bandit camp and am at Mikolai. How do I sell him the horse? No dialogue option comes up. I can't remember what he sound about leaving the horse somewhere.

Edit ** Stay on your horse and talk to him, "horse merchant," dialogue will pop up and he'll offer you a measly 20 gold

Edit *** The brown horse only netted me 20 gold, but the black horse was 380 for some reason??

Seems fair, as stealing horses could get you hanged back in the day.
