That's pretty much what Vavra decided this studio's business model will be moving forward.

It's a bold strategy I haven't seen before.

The fact that they waited until the 11th hour to tell the public about the uhh... interesting... changes to their game (kept out of all marketing) seem to have stirred up a hornets nest of people who clearly were interested in buying the game and are now extremely furious with the developers.

Seriously though, I just did what Vavra himself recommended about his product. I didn't buy it. Now I get to spend 100's of hours exploring content in my favourite immersive first person experience. My actual life!

I think 95% of people are rational and don't really care either way, if you think people weren't gay or what have you ignorant expectation you're clearly not aware of medieval europe as much as you're holding onto the oppressive stereotypes you probably hoped existed everywhere.

The other 5% of people are extremely vocal on discussion boards about how it's such a travesty that they have to even consider the option of men kissing in medieval europe likely because they don't have much going on in their lives and that focus is the most engaging thing happening in their lives, hence hours available to screech about 'DEI' but not 5 minutes to look at real world examples of this.
