[SPOILERS] [BUG REPORT] The Küttenberg Swordfighting Tourney doesn't allow me to equip my sword

So, I just got to the Küttenberg swordfighting tournament with the German Swordsmasters

When the tournament starts the game doesn't automatically equip a sword for me nor does it allow me put it into my equipment slot saying (You can't change your clothing now).

i found a solution until it gets fixed before you talk with menhard you use console command wh_cheat_additem longSwordDuel_khTournament to add the sword and then you equip that on your first slot and it shows up in the tourny

This also happens to me with the crossbow i'm supposed to use in "The Magic Arrow" quest, i's supposed to shoot the guy in the head but i have nothing equipped and cannot open inventory. Triead all the suggestions, nothing worked :/ (except add the item to inventory and equip it before triggering the quest, because since i cannot ope inventory, i cannot see whic crossbow i'm supposed to have.. :/

Solution: Go in to the tourney naked. Take EVERYTHING off.

Do you have equipped long sword before you accept to fight ?

He give you to your inventory training long sword ( it looks like regular long sword - steel blade) just make sure you equipped it and use ....maybe you need some inventory space too before you begin

I am pretty sure I equipped the weapon before entering the ring...but I certainly had no issues with the tournament. Any time the game had me use a certain piece of equipment and such I always check my gear at the first possible chance. Also do it after as I expect it not to equip stuff for me. Plus I've caught the game just seemingly randomly unequipping some armor pieces...especially my gloves. I think it can happen while lock picking or washing in a tub maybe? I don't know. I just got in the habit of always checking my gear which is kind of a good RP thing really.

Though that message is only used for clothing/armor. You can always change your weapons in combat. So that is a really strange bug. Maybe the dullled tournament sword is treated like clothing?

I didnt get the sword bug (even when I used Radzig sword in slot 1 the whole game). but I got opponents stuck in furniture never arriving to the battle area.

Once Menhart kept walking inside the food table (waiting helped)

And other time in classic tournament the opponent stayed outside the area and kept jumping over the fence to get inside but could not get there due to invisible wall (haha - was able to attack him with uppercuts when he jumped)

In my case I had the mod “cheat” installed, I removed it from the folder and everything worked as it should, no bug. Probably some conflict.
