Forbidden Fruits bug

Has anyone found a bug where you get to the body pit and you need to taste the wall and you see the prompt but nothing happens when you press the button? The quest feels like its soft locked unless im missing something

Yes i have this but too. Can't progress. E doesn't work on the wall with the "Taste" prompt. reloading didn't work so far.

Had the same problem, tried everything I could think of. Then hours later I was doing a quest called "The Voivode's Curse" for which I needed to forge a sabre. Once I equiped this sabre, Henry made some comment about licking Saltpetre and somehow the Quest "Forbidden Fruits" progressed.

Same, I also could not really interact with half of the world objects. Like shrines to pray, cooking, drying and smoking stations also did nothing once I've hit x to confirm. Most interactions that initiated an animation. I was just in the process of being soft locked when trying to climb the maypole, when I got yeeted halfway to the castle. Mid flight Henry commented on salt, then I splattered against the dirt and a convenient low stone wall. After I pressed "try again" the bug was gone.

Try changing weapons like whisper said. Some things can't be interacted with while certain weapons are equipped due to a bug.

WOW THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! this totally saved me.. i was standing like 10 meters away from pit when swapping my polearm to a sword and the moment i pressed ESC to go back out of inventory it jumped me back into the pit and tasted the wall immediatly without me pressing it again
