How do i get Pepik (Huntsman Quest)?

I am on the search for Mutt and was send to the Huntsman, after i rescued him i need to look for his Horse Pepik and found it in a Poachers Camp. Inside the Camp are 5 Poachers. I can not even fight against 2 Enemies at the same time, let alone 5. I can also not Stealth Knockout them because i can't knockout anyone, my Henry is weak as f*ck. My Bow does nothing to the Poachers, after 3 hits they still run towards me and kill me. I can also not simply jump on the horse and run away because Pepik throws me off, i can not ride him. This quest is unsolvable for me. So what do i do now?

I did it at night when most are asleep and the guards away. It was difficult.

The best suggestion is to use it as practice to get better at group combat. Always move in a way to keep the group in your front arc (don't let them flank you) and don't worry about killing, just defend/parry until you start wearing their HP down, which will make things easier.

Take a shield with you, or equip 2 weapons on your belt, so if the first one is breaking, switch. As you fight, you'll also increase your respective weapon skill, which will also make fights easier.

If that's a no-go, you can try brewing a poison through alchemy, sneaking towards their food cauldron and poisoning it. Not sure if they eat, but it's an idea. You can also buy a dagger at any Blacksmith then wait for them to go to sleep, then finish them off while they're in bed one by one. If they wake up, RUN. They probably won't chase you too far, so make sure you can run fast (equip light clothes).

Thanks for your Tips. I managed to take them down by luring them one at a time in the Forest, away from the others and kill them this way. The last 2 i ambushed in the camp, killed one quickly and dueled the other one. This mission got me by surprise, i was not prepared to fight against multiple human enemies, i had no poison on me or a dagger and the hunting sword i made with the smith was my best weapon. Well, i am happy i made it. :)

I managed to pick off the outside guards one by one, if you're quick you don't even need to stealth takedown them, I just went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on them before they could run for reenceforments. In the main camp I killed one in bed and held the last two on the narrow slope at the camp entrance that worked as a chokepoint

quest was easy, i have the gold edition dlc so the artemis crossbow was useful, two of the guards use bows bear that in mind, one goes up on the rocks to the right, i took him out first with two shots to the head. i , i'm wearing the huntsmen set which isn't true armor but it suffices.

so again, drop the one on the rock to the right with a bow, two more should come at you, and then carefull do a 2v1 engagement. make sure to perfect block properly and it's definitely doable, the 4th guy up there never aggro'd me until after i was done with the other three... pepik never bucked me off after i cleared the camp....

i did note there was an armored bandit up there on some of my reloads which was odd so be careful of that, he shouldn't be there i don't think.

I died about 5 times trying to fight the group. Then I just snuck in, jumped on the horse, and hauled ass before they could catch me.

My wife has been stuck on that quest for a few hours and she refuses to let me spoil it by giving her any advice. So she just dies over and over and over trying to battle it out unnecessarily.

climb onto a rock, pedal backwards through some tree's that are close together so they get stuck. honestly the AI and the pathfinding makes the game a joke even 1v5 when your naked and they're in plate armor.

I killed one a bit farm from the camp, not too much, moving him with rocks ( G ) while you are hidding. The rest saw him and started to check the area and then I run to the horse. At night should be easy while they sleep.
